The long and difficult labor started with contractions at 2am, we went in and got checked at 3am only to find out she wasn't dilating so we went back home at 4, then her water broke at 8am and we were back on! Labor lasted from 8am to 11:58pm. Mom is amazing and did a great job. Thanks to modern medicine and the hand of the Lord she fought through an amniotic infection with a high fever, racing heart, and constant chills.
Baby McKenzie gave us some stress with her heart rate but we waited and waited, and watched some Olympics and finally it came time to push.
The pushing lasted 30 minutes and Mckenzie made it out on August 8th, one more contraction and it would have been the 9th... Good job mom!
I'm amazed at what a great mother and wife Angie is and how well she handled everything! So far mom and baby are good, a little touch and go, but overall things are going well.
