Madison's 2nd month happenings!!!

Our little Tink at 6 Weeks old with her Tinkerbell

Madison is 2 months old already and I still can't believe how quickly she is growing and changing. The most exciting thing about this last month is that Madison has started to smile at us, and each smile seriously melts my heart. She could be the naughtiest baby in the whole world (which she is not, in fact I think she is the best baby in the whole world) and I would still do anything for her for one of those precious smiles. We also had a fun month by getting out of the house and visiting my office (it was fun to show Maddie off to all my co-workers), going to the zoo, going to church, the mall, celebrating Easter, and having some fun play dates with friends. I really feel so blessed to spend so much time with Madison and feel kinda guilty that I get to stay home with her. I keep telling Scottie that I feel like I am on vacation, and I don't want that feeling to go away!!! I guess I owe a big thank you to Maddie for making my stay-home mom life so great!

Madison is all chunked out if you can't tell. Her most recent nickname is "My Chunky Monkey".

Madison having some play time below. I don't think she has quite figured out how she feels about tummy time yet. Sometimes she loves it and other times she can't stand it! Any tips??? This picture also makes me laugh because Madison has started to discover her hands and I think she wants to be a thumb sucker!!! See she is sucking on her hand!

Madison wearing one of my old sleepers and looks so darn cute in it! I love that my Mom kept so many of my old clothes and that Madison can wear them. It makes me all sentimental.

Oh yes...don't you just love the fact that there is enough hair on Maddie's head for me to put a bow in it already? It makes her Mama proud:)

I think she really liked the flash in this picture.

MY BLESSING DRESS! Yep that is right Madison is wearing my blessing dress (and yes it was pink). A couple of Sundays ago I dressed her up in my old dress and had fun telling everyone at church that it used to be mine! Hard to think I was ever that little.

7 weeks with Tinkerbell.

A photo shoot with ME! I am just loving the fact that she is wearing my dress!!!

Look at this big cheesy grin! I just love them soooooooooo much!!! Man alive

Some more cute pictures of Madison Sue! Probably my favs in this dress.

And best for last! My ultimate favorite below. Just look at that smile! Toooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for being so easy to love Madison. Stay tuned for her 2 month stats....the doctors appointment is on Thursday.

Easter

The happy family of 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easter was especially great this year because we have Madison to celebrate it with. She is such a blessing in our lives and we are so thankful to have her! Every time I looked at Maddie on Easter Sunday I teared up with gratitude to my Savior for her. Going through the trial of trying to get her here has helped me learn to rely on my Savior that much more, and to love and appreciate his Atonement for me. I feel like I have such a personal connection to the Atonement now, and will always be grateful for my big brother, Jesus Christ who look upon him my sins, pains, and sorrows. I know Christ knows exactly how to comfort us when no one else can and I am forever in bet to him for such a precious gift.

Look at Madison's face in these two pictures... Too funny! She just cracks me up:)

Madison with proud Daddy

Madison having a heart to heart with her adoring Mommy, as she looks into my eyes and pierces my HEART!

Look what the Easter Bunny brought us this year!

I don't think Maddie liked the grass that much.

Easter Photo shoot...I took way to many pictures and have to share a few of them because her facial expressions are just too classic to pass up. I feel like I can narrate what each look means! LOL.

Really Mom...we are doing this again? More pictures?

Ok I am giving in and will give you an adorable pose.

Hmmm....I am just thinking about how cute I am, and I bet my Mom wants to kiss my cheeks right now.

Yep, I am now thinking I am done with this photo shoot!

Getting more desperate to be done!

OK I AM DONE!!!

Thanks Mom for my binky and for being done! NOW FEED ME:)

We enjoyed our Easter and were thankful for good friends to celebrate such an important holiday with.

I Gave In!!!

So I gave in and bought the expensive Bellababy Photos from the hospital. I just love them and couldn't help myself. Plus Maddie is only 1 day old and looks so stinking cute in them. Here are some of my favorites, the rest are in the slideshow. Enjoy!

Madison's 1 month happenings!!!

I am not going to lie, this little girl has me completely wrapped around her little finger! She is so perfect! The first month of Madison's life seriously flew by like a whirlwind and I can't believe that she is now approaching her 2 month mark! The first 4 weeks of Maddie's life were spent inside our abode for the most part because we didn't want to expose her to any germs, we called it the "quarantine". Madison is a great baby!!! (which I am thankful for because she has allowed me to finish my school work). She is an amazing sleeper, eater, and grunter. Scottie and I are both amazed with this little girl and have to remind ourselves that she is really OURS and that she isn't going anywhere. Sometimes I find myself feeling this sense of urgency to hold her because I worry that she is going to be leaving soon....then I get to remind myself that she is all ours and that we get to keep her forever! OK I will stop rambling and let you enjoy the pictures!

Maddie smiling (aka yawning) because she is getting to meet Aunt April and her cousins for the first time!!! My sister made a trip down from Michigan to meet Madison when she was 2 weeks old.

Aunt April and Madison

All the cousins!!! Best pic we could get, and I kinda like it....ok REALLY like it!

Maddie and Emmy

Maddie and Jordie

Maddie and Andrew (notice her yawn again! Too cute)

Best group pic! Thanks for coming down April and kids, it was fun to see you and have you meet Madison!

First St. Patrick's Day. I made sure Madison was wearing green, so she didn't get pinched! She is about 3 weeks old.

First Sunday outfit. Daddy gave a talk in church....so that meant Maddie and I got to break our 4 week quarantine and go to sacrament meeting to watch him speak. He did a great job and I had fun getting to show off my 3 week old Miss Maddie Sue!

4 Weeks old with Tinkerbell. She has changed so much from when we first took her picture with Tinkerbell and I can't believe it. I want to freeze her in time to keep her from getting bigger!!! It's so bitter sweet...I want all the fun developmental stuff like smiling and cooing, but want to keep the cute, squishy and cuddly newborn stage forever.

OK the picture below is one Madison might kill me for later on but she is cross eyed and I LOVE it.

Nap time with Daddy. I just love when Scottie comes home because he wants to spend time with his Baby Girl and this is how I often find them:

Scottie put the OSU football there!!! Too classic.

1 month old means shot time!!! This is me pointing at her shot spot! Madison took her shot like a champ, and made her Mama proud....actually I hated it, I can't stand needles so I felt so bad for her! Luckily Scottie was there to be brave for me.

Did you notice that this is the same dress Maddie wore at 2 weeks when she meet her cousins??? 2 lbs makes a big difference! (I did have the dress pulled up so you could see her battle wound from where she got her shot on her leg....so I guess these pictures might be a little bit deceiving). Stay tuned for this little chunky monkey's 2nd month's happenings!
