My parents took us all to California during their Spring Break to have a little family vacation together. We had a great time and stayed super busy! We did a TON of fun things; Sea World, The Beach, Disneyland, Legoland, and a Whale Watch. Maddie and I drove down with everyone on Monday and then Scottie flew in on Wednesday to spend the rest of the week/weekend with us.
There are toooooooo many pictures to pick from so I decided to split up my posts into two parts.
Part 1 (General Conference weekend, the drive, Seaworld, and the beach/pool)
Maddie and I made a count down chain to when Grandma, Grandpa, and Audrey would come down for General Conference. Here is Maddie taking off the last one with Grandma Karen.
At the Conference Center
Maddie had so much fun with our house guests and here she is showing off her dancing skills! She's even lookin cool in her aviators:)
Watching conference with Grandpa in her princess dress Grandma gave her for Disneyland!!! She was excited if you can't tell.
The Drive to California
My sleeping princess
Maddie enjoying her first slurpie. She liked it so much that we had to send Daddy a picture of her enjoying it. We made good time at got into the hotel early enough to go swimming Monday night.
Sea world- Tuesday morning we all got up early and went to Sea World. We had a great time watching the dolphin and whale shows, touching sea life, and riding a few rides.
The Hansen Family Group
Me and Austin without our better halfs!!!
The dolphin show was by far my favorite part. Maddie loved it too.
Getting a shoulder ride from G-pa. Too cute:)
Touching some sting rays with Andrew, Emmy, and Jordie

The touching tide pool
The Beach- On Wednesday we stayed around the hotel and spent time on the beach and pool.
Maddie wasn't sure she liked the ocean this time, not quite sure why. She had fun looking at it though.
Maddie and Mom
I even used gold fishes (her favs) to lure her to the water. She would quickly run away after she got her gold fishie and the process would start all over, until I gave up:0 At least I didn't have to worry about her drowning.
Building a sandcastle with Uncle Austin and Aunt Audrey. So nice of them to let her join.
Fun with cousins
One good thing, is that Maddie loved her sunscreen! Did have to worry about her burning.
Maddie looking at the ocean...just thinking about it....
Maddie and Emmy with Grandma Karen
April, Austin, Me, and Audrey- my siblings. Wish Andrew and Jill could have made it!!! We missed them.
Fun at the pool with our cousin Rachel and her cute son Axel. They came and spent part of the day with us. We enjoyed a picnic lunch, the sunshine, and each others company.

We drove to Dana Point Beach and snagged a few good pics! Love this one:)
The view was amazing
SO EXCITED TO SEE DADDY- Scottie flew in that night and we got to go pick him up
Scottie's ride to us
After we picked Scottie and Abby up from the airport we all went out to eat at a fancy ocean side restaurant called The Cliff. It was super yummy and fun to be together as a family.
Me and Audrey. Ok now time for the next blog post with the second half of our fun vacation.
