ONE WEEK OLD!!!

It doesn't seem real that our little sweet Maddy Sue is already a week old!!! I know I am going to be the Mom who cries when my baby goes to school the first time because I already feel like she is growing up too fast! We have had so much fun with her this past week and wanted to share with you all some of the fun we have been having! Enjoy the photo update.

Waiting in Labor and Delivery for Maddy's arrival. Last picture as a family of just two! I am holding up my blessing dress from when I was a newborn!

First time getting to hold my miracle baby! Yes those are tears of joy...pure joy!

First picture as a family of three!

Madison Sue Parker's very first picture all by herself, our wide eyed angel baby.

Madison's first bath....I don't think she liked it very much

The adoring new parents

First visitor- my good friend from work Sarah stopped by and was kind enough to bring as a Panera Bread feast!

Madison's first diaper change, Daddy had the honor.

Daddy filling out Madison's paper work for her social security card and birth certificate. Way to go Dad! Crazy to call my Scottie Dad!
Madison's first professional photo session!!!

More visitors. My dear Dr. Svensson and his wife Jan

My favorite nurse Kate! This gal seriously is the reason for why I am still breast feeding!!! She is amazing and gave me the best advise.

Cheryl Latimer- the nurse I did many studies with, stopped by for one last visit.

Scottie with his learning Community Leader Dr. Hartzman.

Funny story with this picture. This is me making a jail break from the hospital and going to my office to finish up some last minute projects. When I came back the nurse was waiting for me by the door to take my vitals. I said "busted" when I came back and saw her there waiting. We had a good laugh about it and she was impressed that I was able to take off so soon. LOL.

My OB/Gyn Dr. Sayat even made a quick visit to see how we were doing.

Darlene- another favorite nurse. She really boosted our confidence and assured us that we would be great parents.

Family photo-getting ready to leave the hospital.

Going home outfit!!! I think she looks like an angel. She is our little "Tinkerbell"

Leaving our room 734 Doan Hall. Notice how Madison's name is on the door, Scottie did that! I love it and was way impressed!

So Scottie continued to impress me even more once we got home and bought Madison her first bouquet of roses. It was the cutest thing, I walked into the room and there he was standing over her with the flowers. So priceless and perfect.

First visitor to the Parker's home, my good friend Sabrina.

Some cute photos

This baby girl has been photographed everyday of her sweet life....as you can tell by this picture. Scottie taking a picture of us taking a picture LOL.

Family picture-poor Daddy with his cold.

Firs time venturing out of the house....Going to our first pediatricians appointment.

The proud Grandma holding her granddaughter in the doctor's office.

The proud Mama

Scottie getting his Daddy time with Maddy even though he is sick. I came upstairs and this is what I found....too priceless. Daddy sure loves his princess.

Family Time

I couldn't help myself....I had to include a semi-naked picture. Madison's stomach makes me laugh after she has eaten because it gets so engorged!!! Too funny.

1 week old party- smart cookies, ice cream and lots of snuggle time with Madison. We are so grateful to have Madison as part of our family, and feel blessed for her safe arrival.

More from Madison

Here are some more pictures and videos!!!

MADISON IS HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after a wonderful sleepless night Madison has arrived! She was born at 7:04am, February 23, 2012. She came 2 weeks early but she is healthy, weighs 5 lbs 6 oz, and measures 18.5 inches.

Being the dedicated husband I have taken the official assignment to blog within the first 24 hours. So, here is the summary:

Tuesday 21st - went in for routine checkup and the doctor noted the uterus hadn't increased in size for the past 3 weeks. So she scheduled us for an ultrasound.

Wednesday 22nd
3:30pm - went for the ultrasound and most things looked good, but she was a bit small for her age and thus the doctor wanted us to go to Labor and Delivery for monitoring.
5:00pm - At this point we were pretty nervous but hoping all would be well. We stayed on the cardiac rhythm monitor for 2 hours and everything looked pretty good. The doctor said we could likely go home but wanted to schedule an induction for early the next week.
7:00pm - As we were getting ready to leave Angie mentioned that she had felt a trickle of water below, so the doctor checked and as soon as she saw it, she said "or we can just have a baby today" Turns out Angie's water broke while in L and D!
8:00pm - We changed to the Labor room, Angie convinced them to let her eat one last meal before induction, so I ran and got us some Wendy's.
9:00pm - We ate fast and they hooked up the IV and we were on our way.
11:00pm - Contractions started coming on stronger and Angie was handling them like a champ. I went home and grabbed our stuff so we were good to go.

Thursday 23rd
2:00am - Angie got the epidural!!! She was happy to receive it and it knocked out almost all of the pain. With that in place she started to dilate fast.
4:00am - She progressed to a 4 pretty quickly, but without much sleep.
6:00am - She went from a 4 to a 9 in about 45 minutes.
6:30am - The doctor came in and decided it was time to do some pushing! She did so great.
6:50am - She was pushing great for about 20 minutes but her contractions were continuous so the baby heart beat was staying low. The doctor decided to use scalp suction to help her deliver faster and we pulled and pushed for about 10 more min and...
7:04 am - Baby Madison came into the world, eyes wide open!!!
Seriously it was so awesome, she came out calm and peaceful and just looking around. Pediatricians said she looked good, the OB finished up with us and we are now officially a family of 3. Fortunately we had been getting things ready all along at home so we are mostly ready for her. We're thrilled to be parents, Madison is awesome.

SHOWERED with LOVE!!!

My Little Baby Girl has been so loved and showered with gifts, I don't think she knows what to do (*either do I)!

*My amazing friend Steph, took some maternity photos of me around 37 weeks. More are coming....stay tuned. I am so excited!
I got to have some more "BIG TIME" BABY SHOWERS THIS MONTH.

On February 4th my good friend Steph threw me a lovely shower for all the girls in my church and graduate school. I was blown away with the amazing turn out and felt so extremely loved because of everyone who came!!! Seriously, I don't think I have seen so many girls get together outside of Relief Society!!!

Me and Steph (the wonderful host). We have had some good times together, and I feel very blessed to have made such a kind, caring, supportive, and fun friend while I have been in C-Bus.

The food and decorations were absolutely amazing!!!
The company was absolutely amazing too!

Britney, Me, Ally

Addy, Alyson, Jess (baby C), and Becca

I loved opening this swimsuit from Becca because everyone in the room gave me a huge "ahhhhhhhhhhh". I just love cute girl clothes and accessories.

Heather and Addy were so thoughtful and got Maddy a bib her Daddy would like. It has a doctor print on it if you can't tell. Too cute.

Me with the play set from Steph!!! I am excited to see Madison have fun with this bad boy!
NEXT UP:
Ohio State College of Dentistry Baby Shower

On February 9th my incredible boss threw me another amazing baby shower. She invited the entire College of Dentistry and I was touched to see how many people from around the college actually came(50+people)! It made me happy to know I have touched/interacted with so many people here and that they cared enough to come!

Me and the amazing Connie Sue (host of the shower). We have had so much fun together these past 3 years. I am really blessed to work with her!

Me before the party started in front of the cupcakes.
There was an amazing spread of food!!! Oh so yummy
Me with some party goers.

Me with some of the men at the shower. Dr. Scott on the right didn't know I was pregnant and thought I was adopting until he got to the party. He made my whole day, became my best friend, and gave me a good story to tell for years to come LOL!!!

Some more party goers pointing at my Miss Maddy Sue!
Enjoying the yummy food and socialization.
Present time! I was touched by every ones generosity and will have enough clothes for my little one until she graduates from high school. LOL
Me and Dr. Brantley...he stayed at the shower until the very end. I was impressed!

By POPULAR demand Scottie was summoned to the baby shower. He made it over to the college to make an appearance, open some gifts, and to tell everyone thanks!

It was so cute to watch Scottie open the VanBibbers gift because everything he pulled out he would say "ahhhhh" to and then everyone else in the room would too and then everyone would laugh. It was definitely a highlight of the shower! Thanks for coming over babe, you are the best.

These lovely ladies got me the bouncer I registered for!!! I was so excited:)
I really feel blessed for all the lovely Baby Showers that were thrown for me, and feel grateful for all the kind people in my life who made them possible. Honestly words can't describe how grateful and fortunate I am! One my of friends said "if you want to feel loved, have a baby!" I couldn't agree more and feel VERY LOVED and blessed. Only 3 more weeks until D-day!!!
