Maddie's 1st Christmas!!! Yes...it was perfect!

Christmas was perfect this year and having Madison to celebrate it with, only made it that much better! We got to spend lots of time together as a family, as Dr. Scott Parker got 5 unexpected whole days off from work. Because we didn't realize Scottie was going to have time off we decided to stay here in Columbus and have our very first family Christmas all by ourselves, we called it our stay-cation. Here are some pics below to document the fun we had.
Christmas Eve- We had coupons for all you could bowl on Christmas Eve, so we took advantage of the offer and bowled 6 games! Madison did a great job and even had fun watching us bowl.
We did a silly round of bowling and this is me throwing the ball behind my back...didn't do to bad either I might add.
 Scottie's good form!
 Us all together!!!
Skyping with Uncle Elder Austin Hansen. I was so excited that we got to Skype with my brother who is in Brazil serving a mission for our church because it was his first time getting to see my Miss Maddie Sue! They had a great time seeing each other, and Maddie was extra good and showed him all her tricks (ie. clapping, waving, etc).
One of the things I loved most during our stay-cation was sleeping in every morning and then having a big breakfast all together. Scottie made breakfast almost every single day he was home! I was spoiled and loved it.
Christmas Day!!!- It was so fun to have just the three of us and figure out how we wanted to do Christmas. We had breakfast, checked out our stockings, and opened presents. We just loved watching Madison with her gifts, and were pleasantly surprised with how well she did with her first Christmas and encounter with gifts. She even opened several of her gifts...almost all by herself.
 Our Christmas Cutie

 Daddy with his stocking
 Mommy with her stocking
Madison with her first gift (a baby doll). I ripped open the top corner and she got the rest of the present out all by herself! She wanted that doll and we were impressed with how well she did.
Maddie checking out her doll. Dad had the honor of getting all the toys out of their boxes....those toy companies sure get them in there good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scottie being excited with the fishing journal I got him. I even recorded some of our favorite fishing memories together in there for him already.
Maddie getting out her Christmas dress from G-ma Karen
Me with my favorite Christmas gift...a video monitor. Now I can spy on my Miss Maddie whenever I want!!!!!!!!!!! I am totally in love with it.
Scottie and Maddie opening her gift from G-ma Tracy.
 Scottie with some Christmas moolah!!!
and finally a favorite family tradition, this pic. Growing up my parents always had us (my siblings) line up and take a picture on the stairs from youngest to oldest before we could go in and look at our Christmas presents...so we are keeping the tradition alive and doing it on our family too. Maddie, Mommy, and Daddy. Merry Christmas All, and Happy New Year! We are so blessed and hope this next year brings everyone much happiness.

Madison's 10 Month Happenings

Today is Maddie's 10 Month birthday!!! It seems like I was just doing her 9 month update, and I can't believe another month has already past. Time really is flying by and I want to freeze each phase of Maddie's life (my friend calls this the incubator) and then pull it out and play with her when I miss it! This has been a fun month with many firsts, but first Maddie's 10 month photoshoot with Tinker Bell.
"I am such a pretty girl with parents who love me!"
Waving hi, one of Maddie's many skills

 Standing like a big girl
New Maddie Milestones:
Crawls on all fours
Pulls up on EVERYTHING
Walks with help!!!
Daddy helping with the photoshoot, and trying to keep Maddie's wondering hands off of Tink. LOL
Ok now for some of Maddie's new FIRSTS
First Thanksgiving-Maddie got to celebrate her first Thanksgiving ever with my sister's sweet family who came to our place to spend Thanksgiving with us.
Having some fun at the park. Maddie loves the swings!!!

Loving Daddy
Taking a ride on the world's best dog
Chilling with her cousins!!!

Next First: Cutting down our Parker Family Christmas tree

The holidays are so much more fun with a little one to share them with! I can't get over how excited I am for Maddie to get to experience everything for the first time. I love watching her reactions and introducing her to new traditions!!!
We looked around the tree farm for quite a while to only confirm that we loved the blue spruce Scottie found within 5 minutes of looking. Bless my sweet hubby for being willing to keep looking to make sure we "really" found the right one.
Here is the man of the house cutting down his first family Christmas tree.
She measures up!!!
Daddy loading up the tree and (below) Maddie looking at the tree we managed to stuff in our new CRV

Scottie putting the lights on Mike Jr. Fondly named after the Parker's tree in their front yard...well used to be there, before a wind storm blow it down.
The Westborough Annual Door Decorating Contest!!!
US- hard at work making sure our doors looked perfect for the judges!!!
And the winner was....
Our door!!! Santa coming down the chimney!!! What a clever idea by Scottie.
We also decorated our neighbors door with a North Pole Theme-Loved the way it turned out!
Next up: Maddie's first ugliest Christmas sweater party
Maddie rocking out on the piano
What a cute pic huh?????????????
Maddie showing off not one, but TWO ping tails.
Maddie and Daddy checking out our presents from G-ma and G-pa Parker!!!
Maddie's FIRST SNOW!!!- I looked out the window Friday morning to discover snow, and I was instantly excited for Madison to experience it for the first time. We quickly got bundled up so Maddie could see what it was like.
To be honest she wasn't quite sure what she thought. It was cold, wet, and windy and she kept looking at me, "like Mom what are you doing to me? I have never been this cold before!"

Once we were safely back inside she really liked looking at it, and would get the biggest smile on her face when she would watch the snow fall.
A really EXCITING FIRST: Maddie meeting Santa Claus
Soooooooo Maddie has a stranger danger thing going on, so we were sure she would freak out upon meeting "The Man" dressed in red wearing a hat (oh by the way Maddie hates when people were hats). But to our surprise she did a really good job and even sat on his lap!
Not the greatest picture, but SEE MADISON IS ON SANTA'S LAP...yes she does look like she is trying to get away, but no she stayed on there long enough for Scottie to change the batteries on our blasted camera. LOL.
Even looking up and saying hi at Santa. Madison, "Santa can you please bring me some new toys for Christmas?"
Our princess all bundled up to see the lights at the zoo

Us- getting ready for the light show across the water. Maddie really liked it!
Last but not least- The Parker Family in front of our Christmas tree (Mike Jr). Merry Christmas all, and thanks for hanging in there for this extra long update on Maddie's life. We are so excited for her first Christmas which is just two days away!!!

Maybe Not the END...

My friend gave me some helpful info that allowed me to get more storage space for my blog. So for now I think I will be able to keep using this blog!!! Yippee. Thanks Ellen and Brittney for the valuable advice!

The END

As much as I hate to say it, this is THE END for this blog:(

I have apparently reached my uploading limit!!! Booooooooooo whoooooooooooo! I had no idea blogger restricted your storage access, but I found out they do:( So to keep my blogging world alive and to keep all my adoring fans happy (LOL), I have started a new blog called scottieandangie2.blogspot.com. You can follow our adventures there! Coming soon to the new blog will be Madison's 10 month update.

For now I am going to include the link to the new blog and maybe post something on this blog, once I have posted on the other one. A lot of work for me...but worth it until you all make the switch!

Sad to say it, but this is THE END!!!
