Maddie goes to nursery!!!

Yep it's true my baby girl started nursery. I am in total shock that she is 18 months old and ready to go. I was a total helicopter parent and stood out in the hallway almost the entire time, so while I was out there I took some pictures of Madison with my phone. Not the best ones ever, but still good enough to document the special event.

Blue dress pictures= Maddie's first time ever in nursery! She did great and didn't even cry
Maddie is on the far left, it's singing time
Snack time, and YES Maddie is snitching treats!!!

Black and white dress picture=Maddie's second time in nursery, she didn't do so hot this time and cried! I think she knew she was going to get left! The nursery leaders had to come find me because she was so sad.
Left side of the pic! It's hard to get good pics without her seeing me.

Last year in my 20s!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a great 29th birthday (kinda crazy I just wrote that) and got spoiled by my sweet hubby all day long!
I first got breakfast in bed, and a suprise that we were going to Seven Peaks the water park! Scottie arranged babysitting for Maddie so we got to have child free date all day long.
We both were pretty adventurous and went down all the water slides! Even the ones where you go straight down! Got to love em
We then took advantage of my FREE Tucanos birthday meal and went downtown with Rich and Tracy for a Brazilian feast.
At the Gateway
Getting ready to eat some chicken hearts...the only weird thing Tucanos serves, and we decided to go for it!
The birthday group at Tucanos
The birthday circle!!!
We also wanted to use my free golfing birthday pass so we went the next Saturday and made a date out of it by going to Olive Garden too!
Enjoying Olive Garden's ENDLESS PASTA BOWL....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm just my style!
It was a great last birthday in my 20s!!!

Madison's 18 Month Happenings

IS IT REALLY TRUE!!!!!????????????? My Baby Girl is a year and a half today! Where has all the time gone???
It's been a while...soooooooooo we did a Tinkerbell photo shoot:
This was a great photo shoot because Maddie was actually posing and smiling for me! I would tell her to put her hands on her lap and smile, and then she WOULD! My baby girl is just so smart and makes her mama proud:)
 Cheese
 So cute in every way!!!!!!!!!!!
We went to the doctor today and here are Madison's Stats
Weight: 20 lbs 15 oz (moved up to the 8th percentile!!!)
Height: 28.5 in (still below 3rd)
Head: 17th percent

Here are some fun Maddie facts:
*Maddie says over 25 words
*Walks on tip toes, dances in circles, and walks backwards
*Still has NO front teeth-has two central incisors and 3 molars! Maddie is getting her teeth in an unusual order, but I am in love with her toothless smile!
*Points to eyes, ears, mouth, and nose...Tummy button too:)
*Starting to make animal sounds for: cow, chicken, pig, and horse
*ONE NAP!!! 3 hours long
*Taps your shoulder to get your attention, and says hi if you act sad

Pics of what we have been up to:
Silence is deadly with an 18 month old!!! I walked into my room to find Maddie playing with my purse..not a big deal I let her all the time, BUT she found my lipstick!!!!!!!!!!!Luckily it was a light color and I caught her before it spread too far!
lipstick covered cheeks...this pic doesn't do it justice
Rediscovering her Johnny Jumper. This toy wasn't a hit when she was littler, but Maddie loves it now! She will play for a good 30-40 minutes in it!
We had a fun date play with our friend Sabrina (from C-bus) and her two kids. I appreciated the visit so much and felt like a little piece of Ohio came with her to my new home! It seriously warmed my heart and made me so happy. The kids all had fun playing together in the pool and I had fun talking to Sabrina and showing her my new house.
Showing some O-H-I-O pride!!! Our Bishop's son just left for his mission to Columbus, Ohio. We went over to give him some buckeye candies and tell him all about the awesome place he will be serving in.
Enjoying summer, loving life, and eating watermelon. Oh yes, looking cute while doing so too!
Maddie chilling on our new accent chair
Family fun! Uncle Scottie with Corbin and Parker
Gardening!!! We got a late start with our garden this year because of our move, but are finally starting to reap some the rewards of our labors:) Here I am with our first zucchini, now I have it coming out of my ears!!!
MORE OHIO FRIENDS!!! The Glassman's honored us with their presence and stayed in our home for a few nights while they were in town. We had so much fun chatting with them and enjoyed getting caught up and reminiscing about C-bus too.
Maddie with her BFF Reese! I loved that these two girls got to see each other again so soon after we moved.
Scottie and I with Whitney and Devon Glassman in front of our home!  P.S. "We're freakin heart broken" that your gone! Please moved to Foxboro ASAP!!!
My New Place of Employment- I am having so much fun teaching piano lessons from my home!!! Plus I get to teach in this awesomely decorated room.
Thanks for reading all about Maddie and what we have been up to as a family.

Camping in The Uinta Mountains

Last weekend we joined the Parkers, G-pa and G-ma Belliston, Bruce and Barb, Emily and her family in the Uintas to go camping. This is Maddie's 3rd time camping this summer, and we're starting to feel like camping pros with a little one...hehehe almost:) We had a wonderful time with family, and enjoyed some good conversations, food, games (uno and phase 10), and fishing.
Daddy and Maddie playing some baseball. Playing baseball was the highlight of the trip for me because our very own Grandpa Joe got out there and played with us! He was a best empire ever and I can still hear his voice yelling "strike three your out!" We also made a game out of Scottie teeing the ball off with his golf club, Jason hitting it, and me trying to catch it in the outfield. We were trying to get good enough so America's Got Talent would seek us out LOL.
 The Parker Boys
Our little camping expert...Maddie napped this camping TRIP!!!
 Scottie...the mighty fly fisherman
 With his catch
We took Maddie fishing for the first time too, but for some reason I can't find a pic:(
 Jason and Scottie
Maddie with Grandma Tracy and 2nd Cousin Zander

And least but not least a picture of me in front of the Provo River Waterfall. We stopped and took some pics on our way home.

Las Vegas

The Parker gals (+ three cute little boys) all took a rode trip down to Las Vegas/Henderson to visit Kelsey and her family. We had a great time visiting them and loved getting to see their cute home! We also had lots of fun at our resort swimming, floating around in the Lazy...not "Crazy" river, chatting, painting toe nails, and enjoying each others company. Thanks G-ma Tracy for making it all possible for us!!! We had such a great time:)
The kiddos Savannah, Corbin, Maddie, Parker, and Beckham with Kels and Johnny
These cousins just love each other!!!
The crew having fun splashing around in the pool
Maddie and I loved spending time in the pools at the resort. Maddie loves the water and it makes me so happy!!!
Girl chases boy...boy cries...girls have cooties you know! Maddie loves her cousin Beckham and loves following him around...he really likes her too:)
Maddie's sleeping quarters. I think I did a pretty good job jimmy rigging a bedroom out of the closet!
Looking cute after getting some beauty sleep
Being a good girl and eating her fruits and veggies...looking cute while doing it too!
Maddie and Savannah!!! Twinners! Kels and I are already having so much fun dressing our girls alike, I hope they don't grow out of it anytime soon, because we're just getting started.
These girls are going to be best buds
One of my highlights was getting to go down on the strip with my mother in law. I have never been before and she offered to go with me once the kids were asleep. We had a great time running the tule into the garage...oops what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...right Tracy? Watching the water show, pirate show, volcano, and seeing other iconic Vegas sites. AND we almost dyed our hair pink, per Scottie's orders...NOT!
The Bellagio water show
The Treasure Island Pirate show. It was fun seeing them sink the ship right in front of us
The Mirage Volcano
Us being silly and doing the Groovy Rich Pose
Little buddies in their diapers

Out to dinner and the girls dressing alike again.
Toe nail fun
We ended our trip with a visit in St. George to see Grandpa and Grandma. It was so nice to see them, and Maddie learned how to say Grandpa.

Madison riding the famous bull.
A patio party for dinner.
Saying goodbye
Maddie with her Great Grandparents. What a lucky girl to have them in her life! Viva Las Vegas!
