MEXICO!!!

It's crazy to think just 4 days ago I was sipping a virgin pina colada on the beach while looking blissfully at the Caribbean Ocean. Scottie and I both feel like our vacation was forever ago, but it really wasn't! I guess what is what happens when you come back to real life:) Good thing real life includes a cute little 2 year old who was so excited to welcome us back home!
Scottie and I decided it was time the two of us got away so we booked an all inclusive stay in Riviera Maya (just south of Cancun).
Our resort was amazing and had on site snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, bike rides, ping pong, and volleyball for free! Not to mention unlimited food and drinks:) We thoroughly enjoyed our time and found lots of time to relax, read, beach bum, snorkel, explore, and eat!!!
We did so many fun things I don't want to leave anything out so here's a lists with some pics:
Beach time
We spent a lot of time on the beach and loved the lagoon at our resort.
I ALWAYS say the ocean is good for the soul and that was definitely the case with this vacation!
Snorkeling
We snorkeled 4 times and each time we discovered something different or found new sea life. Some of our favorite things with snorkeling were; feeding the fish (you can see in some of the pics below that they would literally surround you), watching jelly fish swim, following crabs, and chasing a barracuda.
The hot spot! Big groupers would swam here and we enjoyed feeding them
Fish!!!

Hahaha our staged snorkeling position!

Dancing-one night we went around to all the different places to get drinks and then went dancing together at the disco. We felt a little silly like we were in high school again, but still had fun living it up and acting super young!

Playa Del Carmen (the big city)-On one of the raining days (sad we had 2) we went into the city and did some shopping and had a couples message. Even though we got a little wet we had fun exploring and liked not feeling the need to rush back to a cruise ship.
Bargaining for Madison's little Mexican dress. She wore it to church on Sunday and told her teachers, "It's Madison's dress from Cancoooon"
Couples Massage- a VERY relaxing hour
Swimming with dolphins-We both thought this is the HIGHLIGHT of our vacation.
Swimming with the dolphins was such an incredible experience and we both loved riding on them and getting a superman foot push the most!
Here's the trainer with Eva and Louloo
The dorsal tow
Dancing
Superman-having two dolphins push your feet! I got all of the way out of the water, and the dolphins gave me an extra little push at the end that send me flying in the air! That part was my fav!!!

Reading-We both finished some good books. Me- The Girl of Fire and Thorns/Killing Floor and Scottie- The Persuader (Jack Reacher Baby!!!)
Missing our grass huts right now!
Eating
Of course lots and lots of eating, and we enjoyed the fine dining the most. I loved the Italian restaurant and Scottie loved the Japanese steak house.
Getting a good show, while our food was prepared.

Kayaking
A private catamaran ride and we spotted a huge sea turtle while we were out
Soooooooooooooooooo much fun!
Shows/entertainment- Each night our resort put on a show. Some were better than others, but we particularly enjoyed comedy night and participation night.
We played several games of volleyball on our last day in Mexico, and each time we were victorious. This man is a volleyball machine!!!
Bye Hotel Catalonia! We miss you!!!

Other things to remember: eating at the Creperie, drinking Flamingos/Mango-Coconuts, food sick, beached whale, water volleyball, and the infamous Betty!
