Scottie's 28th Birthday

Happy Birthday Scottie Jay!!!

Scottie's had a Birthday shout hooray! One year older and wiser too, Happy Birthday to you!!! Yep that is right Scottie is 28 years old...only 2 more away from the big 30!!! So this year Scottie had to be on call on his actual birthday :( sniffle sniffle (I think I cared more than he did LOL), so we started celebrating his birthday over the weekend. We went golfing, out to Roosters, and had presents of course!

Here is Scottie looking so cute in his scrubs! I love how the green brings out the green in his eyes. He laughs every time I make him take a picture while he is wearing scrubs, but I just think he looks so hot, and I can't help myself. Plus it reminds me that he is going to be a doctor soon!!!

The 7th was Scottie's actual birthday and since he had to be at the hospital all day I planned a little surprise for him. I decorated my office (since he doesn't have one of his own yet) and got balloons, b-day cake/Brownie, and Wendy's lunch for him, and had him report to my office during his lunch break (glad I work on campus!!!) Once he got there he found me waiting for him with all his surprises.

Blowing out his birthday cake!

This year Scottie insisted that he get to sit in the birthday circle on the couch and since it WAS his birthday I went along with him, and let him open his presents on the couch.

Scottie with his candy loot!

Look at his face below...isn't that priceless! I just love that I got this moment on camera:)

Opening gifts from his Parker Family!!! Thanks Mom and Dad P.

Roosters....A causal, fun, joint. We have been trying to go to this popular Columbus Restaurant for a while now, but every time we go they have an hour wait and we DON'T want to wait. This time we waited...it was for a special occasion.

Scottie said this is his new favorite place to get wings.

Golfing at Wilson Road Golf Course. We now have a fun, romantic, and hilarious story to share together about this course. Long story short...while we were golfing we got stuck in a rain/hail/lightening storm. We got drenched, loved it, kissed in the rain, and called the clubhouse so they could come rescue us with a golf cart. Best part of the story...we still got rain checks even though we were 3 holes away from being done!!!

Look at those storm clouds a brewing!!! It really was beautiful though.

Well there you have it! I am so grateful Scottie came into this world 28 years ago, so I could meet and marry him. He really is the love of my life...if you can't tell:)

Jordan's Graduation & A Road Trip

My Brother in Law graduated from Medical School, and to celebrate the special occasion my parents flew out. They arrived in Columbus, OH Wednesday night. Upon their arrival they took Scottie and I out to eat at Cheesecake Factory! Man alive I love that place. Then early the next morning my parents and I loaded up into my beloved Blue Thunder and started the 10 hour road trip to Missouri (where Jordan was graduating from). We enjoyed all the graduation festivities there and especially loved getting to spend time with my sister's adorable kids. After the graduation on Saturday my Mom and I dropped Dad off at the St. Louis airport (he had to get back to Washington) and then we made the long journey back home to Columbus. Where my Mom stayed for a couple of extra days!!!

While my Mom has here we made sure we had lots of fun! We went to the Franklin Park Conservatory and posed with Butterflies, made breaksticks (they turned out great!!!), went to CiCi's, and I even took my Mom to one of my graduate classes. My of my favorite part of our road trip was getting to have 20 hours alone with my parents to talk about life!!! It was nice to get them all to myself:) Congrats Henderson family on Jordan's Medical Graduation.

So I uploaded my pictures using shutterfly and didn't realize it was going to put them in a slideshow...so here are some of the explanations for the above pictures.
#1 Parents smelling a bush-Have you ever heard the saying "stopping to smell the roses?" Well that is exactly what my parents were doing, and I couldn't stop laughing out it!!!
#2 Jordie eating pizza in bed-Yep this is what we did while I babysat...ate pizza in bed. The three kids and I had a blast together Friday night, while the Parents were at the Graduation dinner.
#3 Dad playing with Jordie- Dad would always play this game with us kids growing up "give me 5, on the back side, in the hole". It was so fun to watch him play it with Jordie.
#4 Mom and Me- On the road trip home Mom took me out to eat at the Cracker Barrel. It was fun to go out just the 2 of us.

5 Years Already!!!

My Dear Scottie and I have been married for 5 wonderful years, and I seriously can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that we were kneeling a crossed the alter saying yes, and everyday since than I have been blessed. Scottie is my greatest gift from Heavenly Father and I feel lucky that I get to call him mine.

To celebrate Scottie told me to get dolled up and then took me out to eat at M. It is a Cameron Mitchell's Restaurant and was super yummy... fancy too. Here are a few of the pictures to document the special occasion.

Marathon Runner Extraordinaire Reports IN!!!

Well it's time for ME the Marathon Runner Extraordinaire to report in!!! My report comes to you again from Columbus Ohio, where I ran the Capital City Marathon for the second time. This time was made possible by my great friend Sabrina, who let me run under her hubby's name (Skyler) because he couldn't make it to the race. FYI-That is why my number has Skyler on it instead of Angie....I didn't change my name for all of you who may have been confused by the pictures LOL. The race was on Saturday, and it ended up being a beautiful day for us with no rain, while we ran! The race was amazing in and of itself. Seriously, we ran with over 15,000 other runners and finished 20 minutes faster than I thought we would!

At mile 4.5 Scottie (my biggest fan) showed up to cheer us on. I am waving good bye and thinking bring on the next 8.5 miles C-bus!

Sabrina told me to plant a big fat sweaty kiss on Scottie and that is exactly what I did when I saw him. He just happened to capture the moment right before with this picture LOL. I just love Sabrina's smiling face in the background. We had so much fun running together!!!

Me finishing strong and sprinting to the finish line (When I crossed I said bring on another 13.1 miles!!!) Once again Scottie was there cheering me on. He has a cool video of this moment, I will see if I can upload that later:)

Sabrina and I with our metals. We were two happy girls:) Finished in 2:12!!!!

US- It was Sabrina's first 1/2 marathon and she totally rocked it up!

Scottie is seriously my number one!!! He has been at every race I have ever done, and is always there cheering me one. He sent me a text every mile we completed with messages like"Keep pumping it out babe. You are a machine!" I appreciate him so much and love that he supports/encourages my running efforts!

After the race, Scottie farther proved his love for me by appeasing my desire to have a personal photo shoot of myself after the race. Luckily for you I was able to contain myself and only post 2 of the pictures!!! LOL

Well that's the report I hope you enjoyed it and stay tuned until next time. My Dear Papa said he is doing the next one with me...so now that I have that in writing it will hopefully really happen!

PEACE!

Baltimore

In front of the Baltimore National Aquarium Last weekend we had some friends invite us to go to Baltimore with them for the weekend, and being the vacationers that we are, we decided to go for it! It was a quick trip, packed full of lots of fun. We left Friday right after work, then got up Saturday morning and went to the National Aquarium, where we spend most of our day. We saw all different types of sea life and were amazed with how big the aquarium was. Some highlights of the aquarium were: the big shark and ray tank, seeing the scuba divers feed the fish, and watching the dolphin show. Yes that's right the aquarium even had a dolphin show inside!!! After that we explored Baltimore and did some site seeing, watch a street performer, visited the shopping areas, and went to the Fudgery. On Sunday we went to church and had a great time worshiping with the Baltimore members! Scottie and I both had really neat experiences at church and felt grateful that the Lord's true church is everywhere! After church we loaded ourselves back into the Tolman's car and made our way back to C-bus. Enjoy the pictures below!!! Me in front of a submarine!!! So cool!
This is a megashark's jaw!!! Supposedly they existed years and years ago...pretty fishy if you ask me!
Here's Calypso (a 3 legged turtle) and a nurse shark. This tank was one of my favorite parts, there were rays everywhere!!!

One of the scuba divers. Below the divers are feeding an eel!!! It was the coolest thing to watch. They got the eel to come all the way out of its cave to eat. Seeing the eel reminded me of the eel I saw only inches away from my face while scuba diving in Mexico.
Scottie and me in front of a chocolate tree
The Dolphin Show!!!

The Harbor Area

We stayed and watched this street performer's entire show. It was so entertaining, and we were blown away with the crazy things he could do. For example, he balanced on this board on top of this bowling ball and juggled knives. WOW!

The Fudgery... you could watch them make the fudge and they even sang while they did it too:)

Us in front of the USS Constellation. We loved getting to explore Baltimore and are grateful for such great friends who let us come with them. Sadly we never got a picture together as a whole group...darn...Next time!
